The Distance Education Program in Theology
Distance education is a valuable option for those who wish to study theology but are prevented from attending lectures on campus. The Reformed Theological College and Ridley College are working together under the auspices of the Australian College of Theology to provide a number of units in distance education mode on-line.
Distance education is available at the Graduate and Undergraduate degree levels to all who meet the entry requirements. The Graduate Diploma consists of eight study units, all of which can be done by distance education. Alternatively these units can be taken to complete the first year of a Masters of Divinity degree (Click the links to view the programs). The same units are also available at a lower level for the Bachelor of Theology, Bachelor of Ministry and Bachelor of Christian Studies degrees. For all Degree students it is important they complete the units in a sequence that meets the prerequisites for some of the advanced (400 & 600) units (See the units listed in the ACT Graduate and Undergraduate Manuals). There are NO prerequisites for the Graduate Diploma, but it must include at least 2 biblical (OT and/or NT) and at least 1 Christian thought (CH or TH) units.
